‘Red & Gold Kanji’ Journal / Notebook – lined pages

This book of lined paper has a cover that has been completely hand-made by Colin using traditional bookbinding skills.  The inside pages have been selected from a range of quality FSC ruled paper to suit the style of the book and are suitable for writing with most media.

Specification

• Size:  280 x 200 mm approx.   192 pages (96 leaves) stitched to allow book to open flat
• Cover:   Half-bound in Japanese mulberry silk bookcloth.  Special high quality Japanese Chiyogami with gold Kanji characters design paper
• Endpapers:   Black, sustainably made FSC paper
• Paper:  Quality 100 gsm  narrow lined, smooth, off white paper, ideal for writing
• Finishes:   Silk hand-sewn red and gold headbands.  Gold satin ribbon.  Full length gusseted pocket on inside back cover.
• The last page carries an embossed stamp specially made for these books.   A materials list is included with each book detailing all the materials used as well as the specification (see samples in gallery images).

This book contains paper of a certain type and is fit for that purpose, but the suitability of this paper across all the many different types of media (ink, paint, pastels, crayons etc) cannot be guaranteed. If in doubt test a small area first.
