Sketchbook / Notebook – plain pages

This book of plain unlined paper has a cover that has been hand-finished by Colin using traditional bookbinding skills.  The inside pages have been selected to suit the style of the book and are suitable for sketching and writing with most media.

Specification

• Size:  A5 (210 x 148 mm approx).   256 pages (128 leaves) stitched to allow book to open flat
• Cover:   Quarter-bound in maroon textured leather on the spine.  Special high quality Japanese Chiyogami blue, gold & red paper
• Endpapers:   Japanese gold fleck tissue paper
• Paper:   100gsm approx, plain, slightly off-white, smooth paper, ideal for sketching or writing.
• Finishes:   Maroon satin ribbon.   The last page carries an embossed stamp specially made for these books.   A materials list is included with each book detailing all the materials used as well as the specification (see samples in gallery images).

This book contains paper of a certain type and is fit for that purpose, but the suitability of this paper across all the many different types of media (ink, paint, pastels, crayons etc) cannot be guaranteed. If in doubt test a small area first.
